D-Reck$ latest Hip Hop Rap drop 10k a Day is easily the freshest Urban beat I’ve checked out this year. It’s hard not to fall in love with the Lawrence, Massachusetts based artist with his enigmatic vibes and slick beat that was produced with a little help from Wizz Dakota. How they managed to come up with an immersive, yet an effortless laid-back listen is pure aural alchemy. Each of the tracks that D-Reck$ has put out in his career is a perfectly balanced mix of minimalistic Trap beats fuelled by his almost unhuman rap flows.
I’m not sure what I was expecting when I first checked out 10k a Day, but what I found was an absolutely flawless track with a Rap artist wrapping his tongue around gritty lyrics which usually I’d find abrasive yet coming from D-Reck$ I can’t help but revel in the resonance behind his brutal honesty.
