Copper Monks – Julia: Country Blues Meets Indie Psych Pop

Up and coming Alt-Country Blues artist Copper Monks released their 2019 self-titled album on June the 7th, and with it, they moved away from the archetypally predictable progressions of Blues Rock by infusing Indie Psychedelia complete with jangling melodic guitars into the arrangements

The perfect introduction to Copper Monks’ music has to be the vibrantly psychedelic soundscape “Julia” You’re still consistently fed the light and richly textured country rhythms, yet, the guitars become even more absolving through the addition of angular guitar riffs which sweep throughout the track. As for the vocals, if you could imagine if Paul Simon’s voice was a little more charismatically whisky soaked, you’d get a good idea of what Copper Monks vocalist will treat you to in Julia.
