“Azul Delirio” is the latest single from established Argentinian born, Mexico based artist Cielo Pordomingo. The single serves as the perfect introduction to her soulful, eccentric, stylised sound, to which you’ve probably never heard the like of before. Azul Delirio has the capacity to mesmerise you into adoration of this truly exceptional recording artist.
While my lazy uni-lingual brain may not have been able to decipher the lyrics, plenty of resonance stemmed from the conceptual fusing of electronic elements with woody, organic acoustic instrumental arrangements. There’s a primal sense of urgency and command behind the single which is nothing short of hypnotic. It is easy to see how Cielo Pordomingo has become an international touring artist who makes Bjork’s style sound positively archetypal.
