“Rochdale Principals” is just one of the latest singles from Brooklyn Geppetto Tugs Heartstrings. Their artist name may be impossible to remember, but the quaint earworm which the up and coming Indie artist has alchemically contorted is pretty unforgettable.
Even though the single is amongst one of the most experimentally expressive tracks I’ve heard so far in 2019, the artist has ensured that the arrestive capacity of the melody hasn’t been lost amongst the distinctive charm. It is this clever detail within Brooklyn Geppetto Tugs Heartstrings’ soundscape will endear everyone from fans of Paul Simon to fans of Frank Zappa. The New Jersey, US-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist certainly has us endeared with his captivating style which will never be in danger of being regarded as a gimmick thanks to the arrestive Blues rhythms and exposing lyrics.
