The Whispers of Eternity EP captures Breath of Illusions at their most affecting as they pull progressive folk rock, gothic-edged guitar work and cinematic composition into a meditation on what remains after the sands of our time have slipped away. Across six tracks, the project brings together four vocal tracks and two instrumentals, giving Breath of Illusions space to fuse lyrical reflection with guitar-led narrative.
The opening single, Before It All Fades, refuses to let you live day by day without considering the enormity of existence once you’ve heard it. Its rock-opera-reminiscent crescendos are left to the guitars, while the vocals keep an almost stoic even keel through the rushes of momentum, making the song feel life-affirming without softening its warning about what humanity risks losing. Wings of Fate then pulls white-hot guitar solos to the front, giving classic rock chops a darker edge, with a shadowed intensity that could sit near the gothic grandeur of Sisters of Mercy.
Created across Colombia and Argentina over more than 18 months, the EP was produced and mixed by Joaco Rosson, with drums from Federico Casañas, keyboards and piano from Marton Fabrizzi, bass recorded in Colombia by Alfredo, and vocals shaped after serious study with Rosana Laudani. Breath of Illusions has moved beyond instrumental storytelling alone, using the voice as another instrument in a release where love, fate, environmental urgency and memory echo with visceralism.
Whispers of Eternity leaves you emotionally enthralled; whether through stunningly evocative guitar work, gothic choral vocals or the sheer scale of its existential reach, you can’t come away from it without feeling altered.
Whispers of Eternity is now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify.
