Indie Post-Punk fans may want to prick up their ears for the latest single from up and coming singer-songwriter Billy Sanders. “Top Bricks” is an instrumentally uncomplicated single which allows the raw guitar melodies to resonate as they feed into the atmospherics of the track. Rather than creating a perfectly polished soundscape, Billy Sanders allows you to appreciate the realism of the sound in the same way in which Babyshambles and the Cribs left us all enamoured with their endearingly human tracks.
If the future of Indie rests in the deft hands of this 20-year-old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, I’ll be happy. Everything about the artist’s expression feels natural allowing you to truly appreciate the energy behind the single – and it’s not all too often that can be said.
