A sound this pure could only stem from a Toronto based singer songwriter and producer. Bicycles in Amsterdam is the latest musical venture from the adorably sweet Russel Roger Harness.
If you didn’t fall in love with his last single Annie’s Song, you’ll be powerless to resist the sticky sweet melodies that the solo artist puts out. Swim Like a Monkey is the brand new single packed with captivating acoustic flow, perfectly orchestrated to create a playful sound that Russell created at the tender age of 21. I’m a firm believer that age is never of relevance when it comes to music, yet, It’s hard to get over the lyrical wisdom that is escaping his lyrical lips especially in his earlier track Annie’s song.
Russell takes the campfire approach to his sound for that ultimately raw wanderlust sound which brims with compassion and complexity. He’s not an artist that takes himself too seriously and that’s what I love about him, but I have a feeling, he doesn’t know quite how evocative his sound is.
