No, the former-Happy Mondays maraca-wielding Indie icon hasn’t reinvented himself with a new Hip Hop edge. Bez is an up and coming Rap producer and rapper who has proven to reign supreme when it comes to delivering short and sweet killer tracks.
Bez’s standout single “Backstreet Boys” is just one of the fiercely rhythmic Trap hits to feature on his 6-track album “Currently Debugging”. To get a true hit of his inventive flavour, you’ll need to devour the fluidly melodic album in whole to appreciate his progressive, curve creating style. Given that each of the tracks are self-produced, there’s no giveaway in the sound quality. Instead, the harmoniously smooth vocals feed into the Trap mix. Yet, unlike with many Trap tracks, there’s none of the harsh, tinny snares, just layers of synth reverb to carry the weight of Bez’s lyrics.
