Morrissey may be making it impossible for us to love him at the moment, but Ben Burke makes it all too easy to fall enamoured with their jangly acoustic approach to Indie Pop.
Their debut single “Leaving Tomorrow” is packed with quintessential Pop Folk charm. With reminiscences to Billy Bragg, The Fratellis, and the Smiths, the upbeat melodic Pop track comes with plenty of catchy hooks and an all too resonant sentiment. There may be some slightly vintage tones in Leaving Tomorrow, but the single perfectly captures the frustrations of trying to survive in a modern world. For anyone looking for escapism for themselves, you’ll find plenty of aural escapism within Ben Burke’s debut single.
