Backwards City – Bad Timing: Immersive, Sweet Indie Chill-Pop

Backwards City are an Ambiently inclined Dance Indie Chill-Pop trio from the UK. Together they synergistically combine to create a sound entrenched in the deep grooves of a baseline yet keeping it crystal cut as a refined soulful mix. Backwards City vocalist Amelia provides a sweet immersive vocal element to the track, her soothing vocals invite you to just slip into the track completely. Before you know it, you’re trapped by the sticky sweet confines of the ethereal air of the harmonies and melodies as they palpably pulse through muted rhythm.

Backwards City take the inspiration for their sound from acts such as Portishead, Massive Attack, London Grammar and Fleetwood Mac, so, chances are if you dig any of those bands, you’ll love Backwards City’s Down Tempo sound too.
