Even though Asua has the ability to spit bars just as relentlessly as Busta Rhymes for the choruses, the momentum of their vocal delivery wound right down to offer smooth and sensuous RnB-style melodies.
There were also plenty of evolutions in the Hip Hop instrumentals which mixed slow and steady beats on top of an evocative piano melody along with Trap-style feverish beats. Given the quality of the production and how much ingenuity was thrown into this mix, Asua may be one of the underrated Hip Hop artists who have appeared on our radars in a while.
