On the 18th July 2018 one of the most magnetically melancholic Trap tracks graced the soundwaves curtesy of the emerging Hip Hop Rap artist Ashxs.
Thinkin Bout You is a track which is so deeply resonant, you might want to grab yourself some armbands before you hit play and the waves of pensive emotion hit you like a tsunami.
Whilst the lyricism is relatively simple, it’s piercingly effective. It’s a sentiment we can all get behind. We’ve all been there. The acoustic guitar intro just adds insult to injury, each note is a progression of plaintive misery. When the beat really kicks in, you become vaguely aware of the Trap and trickle of the 808 beats, yet the acoustic guitar continues to mesmerise you. So, it’s safe to say producer Nicholas Allen did a stellar job pulling the track together to allow every note to hit you as hard as possible.
