Arcadia – Bend: Meet the Prodigal Sons of Indie Rock

It can be all too easy to assume that no new soundscapes can be born out of the Indie Rock genre, yet, Arcadia have blown that assumption right out of the water with their debut single Bend.

Bend comes to life through the composition of viscerally funk-addled guitar rhythms which dance lucidly above the reverberantly deep notes curtesy of the bass guitar and the tight smacks and rolls of the drums. The instrumentals by Scott Lubin are a work of pure synergy; the melody overwhelms the track and draws you in through the hooks and breakdowns which will leave your breath falling in line with the rhythm. Will Adler’s vocals are absolutely the cherry on the cake of Bend, with a playfully deep vocal style he carries some quaint reminiscence to Jack Johnson yet allows his inventive lyrics to come to life under his own individualistic style.

You can check out Arcadia’s funk driven single Bend for yourselves by heading over to Spotify now. I’m sure you’ll join me in the expectant wonder of what’s to come from the up and coming artists if that is what they can achieve with their debut single.
