Andy McBride – Ghosts in the Game: Grounding Glaswegian Acoustic Folk

You know that feeling when you get stabbed in the chest by vocals on a track that should probably come with a health warning? Yeah, well that happened when I checked out Andy McBride’s ever single Ghost in the Game. The Singer Songwriter from Glasgow Scotland has been performing since 2014, however he has quite cruelly waited until the release of his first single to share his absolutely stunning voice with the rest of the world. I’ll probably never think about acoustic folk the same again. Before I get a little carried away with the new affinity I found with Andy McBride’s voice, I’m going to have to throw in at least one compliment of his sensational rhythmic guitar style which is as equally uplifting as his vocals. All in all, McBride has a timeless style that is easily comparable to the greatest pensive acoustic rock singers of all time. Yes. He’s that good.

You can check out Andy McBride’s latest single Ghosts in the Game on Spotify, then join me in the sweet anticipation for his upcoming album release later in the year. Head on over to Facebook to connect with Andy & keep posted on his tour dates. Reviewed as a ferocious performer, I can imagine witnessing McBride live would be quite the experience.
