In this case he brilliantly pens lyrics which are all about self awareness, the elimination of negative energy and the choice to be better. As soon as I heard the words “You’re making your mind up every hour of every day, How you want to be, and it will always go your way,’ accompanied by a propelling harmonic and rhythmic movement, and sung so convincingly, I understood that Andy Ard has truly mastered his craft of songwriting and song delivery. Apart from this, you will not be able to get the chorus out of your mind. “Why You Gotta Be Like That” is just one of those songs that not only have a brilliant message, but also feel good and are very well written.
