Amy Vix’s Guitar-Driven Debut: “Over the Wreckage”

If you could imagine the atmospheric sound of Stevie Nicks meeting the contemporary punchy energy of the likes of Taylor Swift, you’d get pretty close to imagining what up and coming artist Amy Vix has cooked up with her latest single “Over the Wreckage”.

Whilst Over the Wreckage could be described as a Pop ballad, the crunchy and distorted electric guitar riffs which provide the perfect platform for Amy Vix to lay her soulfully-potent vocals upon. It isn’t all too often you’ll come across an artist whose sound you can register as anthemic as well as heartfelt and resonant. The London-based singer songwriter’s penchant for heavy guitar reverb combined with her Americana Country vocals is one of the most refreshing genre-defying sounds I’ve heard in a long time.
