Guess who just found a new favourite Pop artist?
Finding a Pop track with lyrics as clever as the ones that paint the picture of contemporary frustration as well as ‘Perfection’ is like finding a needle in a haystack. The fact that the track is called perfection is pure irony. Amelia Moore used her latest track to showcase her talents as a lyricist as well as a vocalist and independent musician. With a similar style and approach to sound as artists such as Kate Nash the Lawrenceville, Georgia based artists slightly spoken word style along with her beats won me over after the first verse. The Ambient Trap Electronica Pop instrumentals behind the track is just one of the elements that made Amelia Moore’s style shine brighter than the rest of the up and coming Indie Pop artists on the scene to date. Her narrative of what it’s like to live amongst our 21st century Instagram addiction is one that I’m sure any millennial with wifi can connect with.
