Alt Rock Duo MAKO DC offers a work of genre-mashing alchemy with their latest single “Timeless”

MAKO DC

Just when I was starting to think there were no Alt Rock artists left who could justify calling themselves ‘alternative’ to anything, I get the pleasure of being enamoured by MAKO DC’s latest single “Timeless”.

Timeless carries a cutting caustic Pop Punk energy but that’s just one of the elements in the indulgent smorgasbord of alternative influence. The soundscape fuses with an artfully stylistic Indie tonality and the same atmospheric pull of iconic 80s Post Punk artists resulting in a single which has a sombre feel whilst at the same time offering a visceral vibrantly uplifting melodic connection.

I never thought I’d ever hear a soundscape which carried a reminiscence to both the vocals of Gerard Way and Brett Anderson, but here I am, and I will almost certainly never get tired of listening to the stunningly pioneering act of aural alchemy which is Timeless.

You can check out the single Timeless along with the rest of the album by heading over to the artist’s official website now.
