Following on from the success of their debut single “Enemy”, Abandon The Fall has orchestrated yet another masterfully dark Alt Rock single with “This Hurt”.
The progressive single kicks off with melodiously atmospheric energy before steadily picking up emotive momentum. You’d expect to be immersed in an explosive chorus when it hits, yet, Abandon The Fall seem to be in the habit of subverting your aural expectations.
What I will always admire most about Abandon The Fall is their commitment to creating music which doesn’t assimilate what has already been done to death a million times before. The raw and strained vocals run through with distinction and actually offer real human intrinsic emotion instead of reaching for the perfect polished screams.
