Spotlight Feature: Madam Who? Has riotously returned with her pop-hooked and rock-licked electro-clash earworm, Peter Meter

Electro-pop-rock meets hip-hop in the latest single, Peter Meter, by the indomitable visionary, who always favours the bold and rejects the mundane to empower others through the electricity in her eccentric expressionism, Madam Who? In her rap verses, the trailblazing sonic mould-breaker gives all the ensnaring electro-clash energy of Peaches before the track descends into a Garbage-esque alt-90s earworm in the choruses to deliver the ultimate liberating anthem.

The larger-than-life vignette of how her Grandma Rita used to absolve her of her boy troubles took Madam Who? 20 years to write, but now it has arrived, complete with a fully characterised music video and a quirkiness akin to the B-52s, we can all drink in the sage wisdom, which you may not want to follow to the T, but one thing is definitive about this track, it will riotously shake every ounce of ennui out of you.

After overcoming brain cancer, Madam Who? Has remained relentless on her mission to defy expectations and verse for the underdogs. In 2023, her debut EP, Reclaim Your Power, caught the attention of Good Morning America, and her story aired to 1.7 million viewers. Now that Peter Meter is on the airwaves, the Maryland-residing singer-songwriter is set to spill more serotonin and uplift countless people from their minor and major tribulations.

The official music video for Peter Meter premiered on January 19th; stream it on YouTube.

Madam Who? invited you to ‘Reclaim Your Power’ with her 90s nostalgic pop-rock debut LP

The Eastern Shore, MD, USA-residing pop rock singer-songwriter Madam Who’s debut album, Reclaim Your Power, will undoubtedly be a soul-saver for anyone it catches in a vulnerable or transformative time.

With the rock reverence of Joan Jett, the zaniness of The B52s and the urban edge of Lizzo, the LP starts with the powerful title single, before You Are Not Alone brings in the 70s rock vibes and Goddess in Our Midst brings a little neo-soul into the mix.

Undoubtedly, one of the sweetest spots on the LP has to be Strange & Beautiful. The progressively enrapturing track hooks you in through an acoustic intro before building into an anthemic ballad which allows you to embrace your autonomy, idiosyncrasies and all.

Rarely do records hit the compassionate spot with the same efficacy as this LP. Madam Who? is a pop-rock diamond in the rough; there are few accolades she doesn’t deserve due to her overpowering sincerity and motivation to heal wounds that most women will experience in their lifetime.

Madam Who?’s notes on the album

“I wrote these songs as a form of therapy after I hit the most difficult time in my life – even more challenging than going through brain cancer. After being emotionally abused and abruptly discarded, I had to start my live over with little knowledge of who I was anymore. Before this destructive relationship, I pursued a music career, naturally, when it was over, I started writing again, with a focus on empowerment, not my life’s antagonists. The overall message is to be kind and love yourself.”

The Reclaim Your Power LP is now available to stream on Spotify.

Madam Who? reminds us that while we are alive its all okay on You Are Not Alone

Inspired by The Beatles, The B-52’s, Bjork, The Go-Go’s, Lady Gaga, The Killers, and so many more, Madam Who? shows us she is back for good on her latest dynamic release, You Are Not Alone.

Madam Who? aka Audra is an industrious and courageous Pennsylvania, USA-based indie pop artist who is known for her exploits in much-loved former band Audra & The Antidote.

Though she had sworn off music centuries ago after nearly hitting the big-time, the universe insisted she get back to it, having to nearly kill her to get her to realize it. At first she fought it, but the songs wouldn’t leave her alone. Finally, she stopped resisting and got out a notebook and her dusty guitar.” ~ Taken from Madam Who?’s website.

After an incredible life which changed forever after she bravely saved her daughter from drowning, the music bug bit again and shows us shows us that grit that allowed Madam Who? survive brain cancer and a long-term abusive relationship, to bring us this excellent track.

Taken from the recent 7-track album from March 2022 named Reclaim Your Power, we see a fine artist who has returned to her first love in magnificent style. Vocally inviting and packed with promise, this a sizzler that deserves all the love in the world.

You Are Not Alone from Pennsylvania, USA-based indie pop artist Madam Who? is a passionate track about knowing that we just need to find our tribe. With so many distractions and people faking it, this is a purposeful track all about speaking your mind and doing what your heart says.
