After having the pleasure of exploring 8udDha bl0od’s recently released material, listening to their debut single “1n7r0dUc1ng… 23:5+3=x+y Dr3Am5 8r3Ak1ng fUr7h3r ApAr7 c0m1ng cl053r 70g37h3r” showed us where the dynamically absorbing aural journey began.
After reading the endearing admission that not all of 8udDha bl0od hadn’t quite mastered their instruments prior to the release, quite honestly, I loved it even more than I would if the soundscape was born from virtuosic assuredness.
In their humble beginnings, their psychotropic sound started to tentatively flourish into complex multi-layered reaches of ingenuity which become even bolder and more extreme in their follow-up releases.
I for one am extremely grateful for their continued experimentalism. Their sound may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But the Brighton-based artist offers creative taste breakers which anyone with a thirst for music outside of the archetypal realms will appreciate.
