American Jetset – 1000 Ghosts: Sunset Strip Sleaze At Its Finest

Saloon Rock Whiskey Pop by American Jetset

American Jetset created an aural monster with their latest album Saloon Rock Whiskey Pop. While each of the high-octane full-throttle feats of Hard Rock are as adrenalizing as the last, 1000 Ghosts serves as the perfect introduction to their contemporary take on Hair Metal.

The raunchy rhythms will throw you right back to the golden era of Sunset Strip sleaze while simultaneously offering a brand-new raucous twist on the anthemic hooks and soaring solos.

The wit-soaked lyrics hook you in from the first verse while the tight nuanced instrumental breakdowns will make sure you remain truly transfixed. If utter aural filth is what you look for in your Hard Rock, the Baltimore-based act who made their debut in 2018 are more than happy to be the purveyors.

1000 Ghosts is available to stream and download with the rest of American Jetset’s sophomore 2020 album via Bandcamp.

A&R Factory Present: Susan Hyatt

Susan Hyatt has always been a rule breaker. Like her musical heroes, Susan has flirted with various different musical genres her whole life. She prides herself in taking artistic chances with each recording and has released 7 albums up to date. She’s no one trick pony!

She started in LA as the guitarist for seminal all girl garage rock band the Pandoras, worked with iconic manager Kim Fowley, then formed punk/grunge band Pillbox in London, She was the lead singer of new wave pop band Stimulator and most recently fronted pop band Sirens of Soho & reunited with 60’s surf pop band 21st Century Pandoras.

I’ve played all the punk rock dive clubs like CBGB, Raji’s & all the beat up clubs in the UK, and I was also fortunate enough to have Duran Duran take my band under their wing and play major arenas like Madison Square Garden. I have always been a huge fan of David Bowie’s Pin-Ups album, this is my Pin-Ups.”

Susan also has a long history of music placement in TV & Film. Some of her noteworthy placements include her cover of Olivia Newton John’s “Magic” which was the theme song for Macy’s Nationwide TV & Radio Campaign, and her original composition “Calling all my Girls” was the popular theme song for reality star Bethenny Frankel’s syndicated talk show Bethenny on FOX.

Her new record “Pin-Ups & Trumpets” is an all covers album celebrating her favorite rock songs growing up. Recorded in Nashville, the album was co-produced with multi instrumentalist & trumpet player Zack Leffew. The record marks a new musical direction for Susan, who thus far was known as a rock chick. This new venture melds indie rock with prominent jazzy flavors and sultry female vocals on uniquely inspired covers of Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Judas Priest & Roxy Music.
