Spotlight Feature: piano rock pioneer Anthony J Fink let the emotion pour in his alt-rock EP, Feel the Rain

As an extension of his commitment to advocate for mental health and spread awareness of the detriment of depression, addiction, and suicide, Michigan’s strongest lyricist and fiercest piano rock pioneer, Anthony J Fink, has released his latest EP, Feel the Rain.

Each of the five singles is a triumph of blazing piano pop-rock-inclined candour, but Fink reminded us why the EP format is so important. From the optimism proclaiming piano pop-rock ballad of an opener to the experimental baroque rock electricity of Masquerade, which gives all of the energy of a rock opera, to the closer title single, which harnesses broadsiding grungy emotion, Feel the Rain is a journey. The final destination? The affirmation that this world breeds disillusion and a tendency to numb the pain but that doesn’t eradicate your power to resist and overcome it.

Rarely do singer-songwriters, of any ilk, achieve such momentously complex and multi-layered productions that absolutely consume you. The Feel the Rain EP made an essential artist out of Anthony J Fink, especially for any rock-inclined seekers of sonic guidance through our vapidly trying times. Buy it. It’s cheaper than therapy.

In his own words:

“Feel the Rain touches on many things. Loss is a big focus. My parents passed away when I was very young due to alcohol addiction. I have struggled with relationships in general in my life and with addiction. This coming January, I will be alcohol-free for four years.”

Feel the Rain is now available to stream on Spotify or purchase on apple music.

That Romantic Planet: Irish artist Tadhg dreams of that sweet ‘Space Love’

Sparking in hot with a supremely creative debut single that has your attention and brings in a cheeky smile, Tadhg takes us to an exciting new planet to rejoice, with the freshly squeezed new single called ‘Space Love‘.

Tadhg is a proudly Queer Irish indie pop/rock artist, Jazz and Contemporary performance student who makes that catchy music, which has your whole body moving and grooving.

”Mix Elton John with Lady Gaga, add a hint of George Michael, and a sprinkle of Queen, smack it in the oven for 21 years and boom, you’ve got me baby.” – Tadhg

You feel the vibrant lyrics that hugs you so close — while taking you to a new place that is full of freedom and care — far way from this dark world that can be so dull and very undesirably hateful sometimes. The razz and jazz mix in so sweetly here like a perfectly poured drink, the crisp texture is a joy to listen to as this tasty sip gets your blood flowing again.

Space Love’ from the new and entertaining Ireland artist Tadhg, is that romantic groove that has you feeling like you are in a rocket ship, and headed towards that person that you care about so much. With vocals that are full of compassion and a deeply intriguing tone, this is a song to play loud and proud when you need some inspiration to believe in love again.

Alisabeth Von Presley’s Releases Pop Rock Track – “I’m A Wonder”

If you’ve witnessed such an adrenaline rush that gets you so overwhelmed at the sight of great dive from an Alpine height; a height that’s so far from the level ground but yet irresistibly interesting, and at the same time too dangerous for you not to cower at the thought of trying your confidence. If you have, then you’ll know the feeling that comes forth when you’re transfixed with such a music surge that can make you use a foot stamp to keep yourself aloft in its flawless motion.

Yeah, this song explicitly emits such degree of energy and it’s really interesting to note that the person that wields such a vocal power is no other person but Von Presley.

There’s so much energy in this song and Presley so perfectly worked her magic on this masterpiece making it look like it’s nothing. The sound at the beginning of this song somewhat leaves no clue as to what to expect thereafter.

The beginning of this song gives you that feeling of a perfect EDM and Rock performance whilst the song in its entirety gradually takes a subtle shift to become a well-weaved web in the genre of Pure Rock n Roll music.

This song is amazing on its own, and also unique to every of its attribute. Von Presley’s “I’m a wonder” can be likened to that perfect a soundtrack to an adventurous movie or a theme song can be used in running adverts on television.

For that brand new “Girl Power Song” to rock your ear in a grand style as you await the tidings of this festive period to splurge you with its beautiful aura till it’s officially 2018, then ensure that this song isn’t missing on your new playlist.

It’s actually a very nice song and I’m sure most y’all will be addicted after to trying to check it out the first time.

Nikhil Swaroop – The Light: The Acoustic Zeitgeist

I’ve only just had the pleasure of being acquainted with Nikhil Swaroop. It took me approximately 10 seconds to fall completely in love with him from when I hit play on his new track The Light (The Original). The video of the light takes place within Nikhil’s inner sanctum, allowing you a personal view into his life, past and pain, with no holds barred.

He’s a stunning singer song writer currently living in India, I have to say it was my first experience listening to Indian acoustic, but one things for sure, it won’t be the last. He has the same pensive delectableness of the quaint sonorous likes of Ray LaMontagne, Keith Urban and Glen Hansard. The light is charged with upliftingly harrow emotion that flows with inexplicable ease.

Aside from his original work, Nikhil has become the master at breathing a little soul into British and American songs, from Lady Gaga to Ed Sheeran, each sound is as staggering as the last. The whole production for the video to The Light only took 50 minutes. He’s kindly left the track as raw as it gets for his fans. If only more artists were that honest with their work.

The Zero Won’s New Track “Lights” Will Definitely Hypnotise You

The Zero Won are a band from Athens with a very distinctive sound, bridging a link between indie pop and disco through hypnotic sonorities and mesmerising vocals. With a strong electronic influence in their sound, these guys have something fresh to offer and upon first listening to their new track “Lights,” one of the primary things which is noticeable is the image evoking quality in the music. All the elements are blended so well within the texture that the sound created has the ability to take you on a visual journey just by listening to it. In fact, I personally can’t wait for a music video to accompany the song.

Apart from the mesmerising and hypnotic quality expressed in the music, “Lights” also features a variety of sounds ranging from delicate guitar countermelodies, big synth sounds, pointillistic percussions and a strong melodic line in the vocal part. This, in fact, results in a memorable expressive chorus which drives the music constantly forward. As the song reaches the end, momentum is built up towards a final climax which is literally an explosion of sound featuring all the interesting elements of instrumentation chosen and combining everything together through a great mix. Listening to this song is just a hypnotic experience from start to finish.

NIGHT RIDE Release New Single LAY YOU DOWN

Trailed by a captivating overall musical performance which was further adorned with a catchy electro-pop sound that leaves one twirling and swirling to its gracious vibe, Night Ride really proved that they are still belligerent, camera-ready and more focused to reach the zenith of their music career in their sojourn thus far. This duo is the next best thing to happen to the Electro-pop music industry.

No, this is not like the usual drudge we do take in with a hard pinch of salt, It only takes 3 seconds out 4 minutes total play time of this amazing song for you to be entrapped and unfurled into a forever porch light of beautiful reverie.

So out goes the pop-electro-rock hybrid; which in its place sits a broad EDM party mix that initially manifested itself as One Republic pastiche on a subtle tale of unrequited love and emotional trauma. It’s exactly when the beam of awesomely pitched melody and amazing sexy vocals entwines with the synth-pop vibe of this song that its power of transfixion sets in.

The accentuate music group; Night Ride, is an electronic pop duo embracing synth-pop and rock, and fusing it with theatre, fashion, technology and art which creates a comfort zone that feels genuine.

Night Ride band draws their inspiration on this song from the tale of their sexual experience and couple of situation-ships which isn’t really what you would likely notice at the first listen since the vibe would rather make you pay less attention to the lyrics of the song. This also further backed up the reason why their music influencers happen to be the likes The Weeknd, CHVRCHES, Grimes, GusGus, and Paramore.

As the first track to be released from their forthcoming E.P. ‘Neon Dreams’, Lay You Down gives a good insight of what to expect from the up and coming duo and I simply hope they’d surpass my imagination just like they did in this song when I eventually get my hands on their EP album when it’s released.

A north star in a psychedelic milky way is the overriding theme of Night Ride’s “Lay You Down”. Everything was more than I expected. Simply put, It was nothing short of class and quality.

glo – Control: Youthful Melancholy in Bloom.

glo are an enigmatic electronic-indie duo from Boston, MA. Their new track Control is hot off the press and we’ve got caught up in the pure sensual energy that the charismatically talented female vocals convey in a timeless sense of fragility.

The lyrics written by the talented singer song writer are packed with a sense of liberating female sexuality. It’s a rare treat to hear such an honesty behind the lyrics which are sang through such stark serenity. Lady Gaga eat your heart out. The production is packed full of alluring energy which allows their music progress with a transgressive sense of wonder to create the perfect 21st century ballad.

Control is fuelled with innovative sound grounded by its compelling structure, it’s packed with thunderous synthesised effects which really make the track come to life. The melancholic steeped vocals are not too dissimilar to the works of many contemporary artists such as London Grammar and Lorde. However, their command over their sound is far more poignant. They allow the soundtrack to take you through a whirlwind of evocative emotion. There’s a sweet nativity found in the youthful melancholy of the talented lead vocalist.
