Fading Out created the ultimate indie jangle pop anthem for the socially awkward with ‘So Embarrassing’

Brooklyn—based singer-songwriter, Fading Out (Evan Bieber) has launched the latest single, So Awkward, from his forthcoming debut EP, Maybe I Thought About You Once, and shared the ultimate indie anthem for the socially awkward.

With his upbeat approach to broaching cringeworthy moments, it is enough to instil you with a newfound sense of humility. The single, inspired by those everyday moments that compel you to run the second a micro faux pas slips out, is just a fraction of the introspective gold forged in his upcoming LP.

With a sonic palette that would complement any playlists featuring Peace, Swim Deep, Viola Beach and Jaws, So Embarrassing would be on the cusp of contemporary trends if it didn’t transcend them with the extra vigour in the angular jangle-pop guitars, which any indie rock fan will register as next level. Fading out even gives Marr & Robert Smith a run for their money with the intricately melodic gravitas in this colourful earworm that will stick to your synapses like superglue from the first hit.

So Embarrassing will officially release on October 17th. Check it out on SoundCloud.

The alt-rock nomad, Charlson, moved into darker synth rock territory with his single, Night Sounds IV

Alt-rock nomad Charlson bravely extended his synth-dripping single, Night Sounds IV, across an epic 7-minute duration. While that track length may make Gen Z recoil in fear, this 00s indie-loving millennial was absorbed by every dark synth-dripping progression.

With a similar vibe to Johnny Marr’s debut album, Night Sounds IV from the independent artist’s forthcoming album, Night Sounds. It’s an energetic introduction to Charlon’s new venture into indie rock territory. One which pays a nuanced ode to Poison Ivy’s decadence and the Generation Terrorists era of the Manic Street Preachers in the crunchy guitars in the second segment of the enduring cry in the dark before it breaks into an orchestral laced outro.

The high energy of the release that comes complete with synthy blues motifs is an apt sonic reflection of those feelings that plague us when our heads hit the pillow. It certainly won’t help you sleep, but it’s a gregarious extension of solidarity for anyone with haunted self-awareness. Jack Kerouac’s quote of ‘the only people for me are the mad ones’ certainly springs to mind.

Night Sounds is due for release on October 14th. Hear it on SoundCloud.

London’s The Curious fly sky high with daydreaming single about love: ‘’Always Want More’’

Even if you go, even if you know, I always want more. Wanting more from those special moments is always a tempting notion. It’s always tough to accept that you should enjoy what you get and nothing more.

‘The Curious’ are a 4 Piece ALT Indie band from London on the rise with their positive lyrics and terrifically produced music- this is a professional outfit.

You can see the band are influenced by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Marr, Blink 182, Arctic Monkeys and more. Their music is pure and likeable. Known for 2017’s breakout hit ‘’City Lights’’, the band are in top form here.

‘’Always Want More’’ is the follow up to March 2020’s fiery ‘’My Only’’- a song that gained some good traction in the UK. Let’s see how the band develops and they must be hungry to be on stage again, let it rip and show everyone what they are made out of.

Gavin Murphy releases single Into Temptation

Artist Gavin Murphy has released ‘Into Temptation’, an Indie Rock piece filled with funk instrumentation and soothing vocals.

From the funky riff on the guitar, to the slow beat on the drum, creating this super laid back rhythm and keeping each element at the same slow pace.

Gavin’s adenoidal vocals are what makes this piece one to listen too, he has such a mellow tone that is both low and gentle as he keeps everything to the same volume, which is a lot lower then it would normally be in an Indie Pop piece, as well as having the high-pitch vocals that sway in and out.

Be sure to check this one out, the perfect Indie Pop for all those that are a fan of this specific genre.

Nathan Degner – Willow Tree: Are We Back in The 90’s?

Nathan Degner is a singer songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music composer that is just starting to put all of his deft skills into practice with his upcoming album ‘Mr Badger’. It’s so delectably twee. I can’t help but love the name of the album. Romantics aside. The man reeks of talent. Seriously.

He has the home grown allure that a lot of British indie acts revelled in through the Brit Pop rock phase of the 90’s. I have no doubt in my mind that Nathan can contend with the likes of Johnny Marr, James Dean Bradfield, and Thurtson Moore when it comes to his guitar riffs and solo’s. When they’re put up against the punchy beat of the bass and it’s just irresistible. I’m sure he can be forgiven for the baseline being oddly familiar to the rhythm of Parklife by Blur.

Nathan’s voice definitely isn’t something that you hear every day, he’s followed in the footsteps of the likes of the Talking Heads and Nick Cave when it comes to the vocals which he eloquently conveys with almost apathetic command.
