Tulsa based Animal Names has successfully Kickstarted their debut album and planned their album release. The album will also be available for purchase on 8/12 at iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, etc.
In their late twenties, Animal Names songwriters Ian Gollahon and Brian Keller are no strangers to the musical venues of Tulsa. In the early 2000s, their indie pop prestige littered local venues, house parties, radio stations and newspapers under their previous moniker “I Said Stop!”.
During their stint in Chicago, Gollahon studied under producer Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Counting Crows, Iron & Wine) while Keller audio engineering studied at the world famous Chicago Record Company. Their newest project Animal Names draws influence from bands like The Shins, Grizzly Bear, Manchester Orchestra, and Father John Misty.
